The dialogue centered around key priorities for Germany and Europe to:
- Boost competitiveness and unlock next-generation manufacturing
- Strengthen security of supply and forge new trade partnerships, supporting greater political stability globally
- Generate clean jobs in Europe and in partner countries fuelling sustainable supply chains
What next? In the next 18 months, the European Union Member States, together with the incoming European Commission, have a unique opportunity to accelerate hydrogen deployment with bold action as it relates to:
- Greater certainty and clarity of legislative frameworks
- Streamlined access to funding instruments
- Technology inclusive approach to achieving decarbonisation targets
- Level playing field for locally produced and imported hydrogen and its derivatives
- Incentives for hydrogen uptake in industry and mobility applications for road transport to catalyse the market
