Beginning with the yearly closed door meeting of the Council C-suite representatives, all members then shared the floor for the first official dialogue with government representatives and international stakeholders, including Japan, France, Germany, the Republic of Korea, Norway, the UAE and the EU.
Following the internal meetings and led by co-chairs Takeshi Uchiyamada, Chairman of Toyota and Benoît Potier, Chairman & CEO, Air Liquide the full Hydrogen Council took to the main stage of the Sustainable Innovation Forum to officially launch their new report Hydrogen, scaling up. Accompanied by Prof. Dr. Aldo Belloni, CEO of The Linde Group; Woong-chul Yang, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor Company and Anne Stevens, Board Member of Anglo American, the panel discussion dove into the numbers, demonstrating hydrogen as an economically viable, financially attractive and socially beneficial answer to the challenges of transitioning to low-carbon energy.
