Par cons\u00e9quent, le continent est\u00a0solidement positionn\u00e9 pour devenir un producteur et exportateur d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne renouvelable et de d\u00e9riv\u00e9s<\/strong>. L\u2019utilisation de ces ressources renouvelables pour produire de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne destin\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois au march\u00e9 int\u00e9rieur et \u00e0 l\u2019exportation (soit sous forme d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne pur, soit sous forme de d\u00e9riv\u00e9s \u2013 ammoniac, combustible de synth\u00e8se, fer briquet\u00e9 \u00e0 chaud, etc.) pourrait cr\u00e9er un\u00a0opportunit\u00e9 gagnant-gagnant pour toutes les parties prenantes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Europe et certaines parties de l\u2019Asie devraient avoir besoin d\u2019importer d\u2019importantes quantit\u00e9s d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne renouvelable et de ses d\u00e9riv\u00e9s d\u2019ici 2050.<\/strong>. Avec des conditions favorables et si les pays africains parviennent \u00e0 capter 151 TP3T du volume d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne commercialis\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale, la production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne renouvelable destin\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019exportation pourrait passer de 1 million de tonnes par an (Mtpa) en 2030 \u00e0 11 Mtpa en 2050. La production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne renouvelable pourrait mobiliser un investissement cumul\u00e9 de 400 milliards de dollars. Cela augmenterait la valeur des exportations africaines de 15 milliards de dollars en 2050 et cr\u00e9erait un\u00a013 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es d\u2019emploi d\u2019ici 2050<\/strong>, et pourrait \u00e9galement\u00a0permettre le d\u00e9ploiement plus rapide de l\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable pour un usage domestique \u00e0 moindre co\u00fbt\u00a0<\/strong>frais<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cependant,\u00a0dans les circonstances actuelles<\/strong>, le risque plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 au niveau des pays et le risque d'ex\u00e9cution des projets en Afrique font grimper les co\u00fbts de financement, ce qui rend\u00a0le co\u00fbt de production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne attendu des pays africains est sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui du Moyen-Orient et de l\u2019Australie<\/strong>. En effet, m\u00eame s'il existe sur le continent des projets en phase d'annonce et de planification qui correspondent \u00e0 des investissements de plus de 50 milliards de dollars d'ici 2030, le\u00a0Le pipeline de projets africains sur l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne est moins mature<\/strong>\u00a0que la moyenne mondiale. En Afrique, seulement environ\u00a05% du volume d'investissement du projet sont au stade de la conception technique initiale et au-del\u00e0 (FEED+)<\/strong>, par rapport au 20% dans le monde. Quoi de plus,\u00a0seul 1% a d\u00e9pass\u00e9 la d\u00e9cision finale d'investissement (FID)<\/strong>, par rapport au 7% dans le monde.<\/p>\n

Il y a donc une opportunit\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0pour que les parties prenantes r\u00e9alisent le potentiel de l'hydrog\u00e8ne de l'Afrique pour ses citoyens et pour le monde. Les parties prenantes pourraient envisager de prendre une ou plusieurs actions pour\u00a0r\u00e9duire le co\u00fbt de financement, augmentant ainsi les chances de r\u00e9ussite du projet<\/strong>. Il s\u2019agit notamment de conclure des accords d\u2019achat, de garantir l\u2019approvisionnement en mat\u00e9riel, de mettre en place une infrastructure partag\u00e9e, d\u2019identifier et de travailler avec des fournisseurs comp\u00e9tents en mati\u00e8re d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie, d\u2019approvisionnement et de construction (EPC), de recourir \u00e0 une assurance contre les risques politiques et de structurer et de mettre \u00e0 disposition des financements concessionnels.<\/p>\n
