\u201cFor large investments to happen, for momentum to build up, for the ecosystem to drive momentum and growth, you need one clear ingredient: policy certainty.\u201d<\/span><\/p>

That\u2019s what Linde<\/span><\/strong><\/span> Chairman and CEO Sanjiv Lamba<\/span><\/strong><\/span> says it takes to scale hydrogen \u2013 and at our Business Forum in India last week, dozens of companies from around the world echoed the same message: policy is the \u201cmake or break\u201d factor.<\/span><\/p>

Project developers want to understand the direction of travel, and to know it will hold for the long term, Oleksiy Tatarenko<\/span><\/strong><\/span> of RMI<\/span><\/strong><\/span> added.\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cConfidence is the currency of the hydrogen economy,\u201d said Abdulaziz Al Shidhani<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, Managing Director of Hidromagia<\/span><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>

Many are looking to Europe. \u201cMany countries and regions take their lead from the EU policy and requirements,\u201d added Vimal Bhimsan<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, Vice President Asset Transformation at sasol<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, while Nishaanth Balashanmugam<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, director ejecutivo de GH2 India<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, urged European policymakers to \u201cremind themselves why they began all of this work in the first place.\u201d<\/p>

The case is clear for Europe to stay the course and keep the binding RFNBO targets and mandates for transport and industry in the post-2030 framework – as our CEO Ivana Jemelkova<\/span><\/strong><\/span> put it – giving industry clear, stable, practical policy that lasts, so it can do what it does best: build.<\/p>
