Reduced predictability undermines Europe\u2019s attractiveness for investment in renewable and low-carbon ammonia and fertilizers.<\/p><p>What\u2019s at risk<br \/>\ud83d\udea9\u00a0Food security: Continued dependence on Russia accounting for ~30% of EU nitrogen fertilizer imports.<br \/>\ud83d\udea9\u00a0Affordability:\u00a0Increased exposure to fossil fuel price volatility across the agrifood value chain.<br \/>\ud83d\udea9\u00a0Supply diversification:\u00a0Halted investment in clean diversified supply both within and outside the EU.<\/p><p>CBAM was designed to support climate ambition and competitiveness. Article 27a risks doing the opposite, creating uncertainty for first movers and disincentivising carbon pricing globally.<\/p><p>We call on EU decision-makers to remove Article 27a and preserve a CBAM
