Wie sieht das in der Praxis aus? Mit Gro\u00dfprojekten von Air Liquide, Air Products, Linde, Shell und anderen, die entweder bereits in Betrieb sind oder sich in der Entwicklung befinden, beherbergt Kanada schon jetzt einige der weltweit bedeutendsten Infrastrukturen f\u00fcr sauberen Wasserstoff und CCUS. Zum Beispiel:

Air Liquide<\/a> baut seit 2021 seine B\u00e9cancour-Plattform auf, die einen bereits betriebsbereiten 20-MW-PEM-Elektrolyseur mit einem neuen Komplex zur Produktion von kohlenstoffarmem Gas kombiniert \u2013 und schafft so einen der am besten integrierten Hubs f\u00fcr sauberen Wasserstoff und Industriegase in Nordamerika.

Air Products<\/a> treibt den Bau eines 1,6 Milliarden CAD teuren Netto-Null-Wasserstoff-Energiekomplexes in Edmonton voran \u2013 durch die Kombination von gro\u00dftechnischer Produktion mit bestehender Pipeline-Infrastruktur, um die Raffinerie zu dekarbonisieren, Schwerlasttransporte zu erm\u00f6glichen und das regionale Wirtschaftswachstum anzukurbeln.

Linde<\/a> Dow investiert mehr als 14,2 Milliarden Pfund in den Bau einer neuen, integrierten Anlage zur Herstellung von sauberem Wasserstoff im Industriegebiet von Alberta, um das Path2Zero-Projekt von Dow zu beliefern. Nach ihrer Fertigstellung im Jahr 2028 wird sie Kanadas gr\u00f6\u00dfte Anlage zur Produktion von sauberem Wasserstoff und eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften weltweit sein und j\u00e4hrlich mehr als 2 Millionen Tonnen CO\u2082 abscheiden.

H\u00fclse<\/a> Die kanadische Quest CCS-Anlage ist seit 2015 in Betrieb und speichert sicher CO\u2082 aus der Wasserstoffproduktion. Die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse werden geteilt, um den breiteren Einsatz in der gesamten Branche zu beschleunigen. Sie hat inzwischen \u00fcber 10 Millionen Tonnen CO\u2082 gespeichert.
