Man denke nur an die ersten Elektroautos, Solaranlagen und sogar Windturbinen. All diese Projekte begannen als vergleichsweise kleine. Doch heute gilt jede dieser Technologien als Schl\u00fcsselelement des modernen Stromnetzes. Die Wasserstoffenergie befindet sich auf einem \u00e4hnlichen Weg, und neue Pilotprojekte bergen enormes Potenzial \u2013 darunter eine einzigartige Initiative, die vor kurzem n\u00f6rdlich von Toronto in Kanada ans Netz ging.<\/p><p>Dort haben Enbridge Gas und seine Partner 2G Energy und CEM Engineering in Zusammenarbeit ein wasserstoffbetriebenes Kraft-W\u00e4rme-Kopplungssystem (KWK) installiert, ein Pionierprojekt f\u00fcr Nordamerika. Ziel ist es, mit Wasserstoff aus dem Stromnetz der Provinz bis zu 921 TP3T des Strombedarfs und bis zu 581 TP3T der Heizlast des 120.000 Quadratmeter gro\u00dfen Technology Operations Centre (TOC) von Enbridge in Markham, Ontario, zu decken.<sup>1<\/sup>.<\/p><p>\u201eKohlenstoff\u00e4rmerer Wasserstoff<sup>2 <\/sup>ist eine sauberere Energiealternative zu Erdgas, die verschiedene Sektoren dekarbonisieren k\u00f6nnte\u201c, sagte Aqeel Zaidi, Manager f\u00fcr Technologieentwicklung bei Enbridge Gas. \u201eWir sch\u00e4tzen, dass die Nutzung der Abw\u00e4rme des KWK-Systems in der Enbridge Power-to-Gas-Anlage in Markham bis zu 74.000 Kubikmeter Erdgas pro Jahr ersetzen k\u00f6nnte, das in den Kesseln verwendet wird, und die Treibhausgasemissionen vor Ort um etwa 143 Tonnen pro Jahr reduzieren k\u00f6nnte.<sup>3<\/sup>Das entspricht der Menge an Erdgas, die je nach Gr\u00f6\u00dfe und Lage etwa 32 Haushalte pro Jahr verbrauchen.<sup>4<\/sup>.\u201c<\/p><p>Noch wichtiger ist, dass das System als Proof of Concept f\u00fcr ein flexibles KWK-System dienen wird, das mit Wasserstoff, Erdgas oder einer Kombination aus beiden betrieben werden kann. Genau diese Art von Erfahrung und Innovation k\u00f6nnte sich f\u00fcr die umfassendere Energiewende als entscheidend erweisen.<\/p><p>Das TOC von Enbridge ist ein Wasserstoff-Mini-Hub, der Nordamerikas erste Power-to-Gas-Anlage, das erste Mischprojekt und nun auch das erste Wasserstoff-KWK-System des Kontinents beherbergt. Hier ist ein genauer Blick auf das System:<\/p><ul><li>115 kW KWK-Anlage von 2G Energy:<ul><li>Generator mit Kolbenmotor, W\u00e4rmer\u00fcckgewinnungssystem und weiteren Zusatzger\u00e4ten.<\/li><li>Integriert in die Warmwasser-Raumheizschleife des Geb\u00e4udes.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Kann mit 100%-Wasserstoff (H2) oder 100%-Erdgas (NG) und H2\/NG-Gasgemischen betrieben werden.<\/li><li>Ein vollst\u00e4ndiger Wechsel zwischen den beiden Kraftstoffen ist in etwa drei Minuten m\u00f6glich.<\/li><li>Wird als Plug-and-Play-Paket im Container geliefert.<\/li><li>Stellfl\u00e4che: 9,6 m x 3 m<\/li><li>NOx-Kontrolle:<ul><li>Bei Wasserstofffeuerung ist keine selektive katalytische Reduktion (SCR) erforderlich.<\/li><li>Bei Gasfeuerung ist ein SCR erforderlich.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p>F\u00fcr das Projekt fertigte und lieferte 2G Energy die Anlage und CEM Engineering \u00fcbernahm die technische Beratung und Bauaufsicht. Technologien, die die vorhandene Infrastruktur nutzen \u2013 und sowohl das Hauptstromnetz erg\u00e4nzen als auch davon unabh\u00e4ngig sein k\u00f6nnen \u2013 sind f\u00fcr eine breitere Einf\u00fchrung von entscheidender Bedeutung. Diese Systeme m\u00fcssen jedoch in der Praxis getestet werden, um Probleme zu identifizieren und zu l\u00f6sen, die bei jedem neuen Mechanismus unvermeidlich auftreten.<\/p><p>Kurz gesagt muss dieses Wasserstoff-KWK-System seine Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit unter Beweis stellen, und das wird die Aufgabe der n\u00e4chsten Monate sein. W\u00e4hrend dieses Projekt voranschreitet, wird es weiterhin die Zustimmung derjenigen ben\u00f6tigen, die nach L\u00f6sungen suchen, um die Ziele zur Reduzierung des CO2-Aussto\u00dfes zu erreichen. Energiewenden erfordern nachhaltige \u00f6ffentliche Unterst\u00fctzung. Die wichtigen n\u00e4chsten Fragen betreffen nicht nur die technologische Machbarkeit, sondern auch die Priorit\u00e4ten. Die \u00f6ffentliche Politik muss einen regulatorischen Rahmen und Anreizstrukturen f\u00f6rdern, die zu einer breiteren Einf\u00fchrung solcher innovativen, nachhaltigen L\u00f6sungen f\u00fchren.<\/p><p><em><sup>1<\/sup> Berechnungen basierend auf dem historischen Energieverbrauch f\u00fcr das TOC.<\/em><\/p><p><em><sup>2<\/sup> Jede Beschreibung von Wasserstoff als \u201ekohlenstoff\u00e4rmer\u201c erfolgt im Vergleich zu Erdgas. Wie in der <a href=\"https:\/\/laws-lois.justice.gc.ca\/PDF\/SOR-2022-140.pdf\">Verordnung \u00fcber saubere Kraftstoffe der kanadischen Regierung<\/a>, die Kohlenstoffintensit\u00e4t von Erdgas betr\u00e4gt 68 gCO2e\/MJ ( Pg 2800) und die Kohlenstoffintensit\u00e4t von Wasserstoff muss niedriger als 61 gCO sein<sub>2<\/sub>e\/MJ (S. 2658) als kohlenstoffarmer Brennstoff zu betrachten, der Erdgas ersetzt.<a href=\"#_ftnref3\" name=\"_ftn3\"><\/a><\/em><\/p><p><em><sup>3 <\/sup>Der CO<sub>2<\/sub>Die Treibhausgaseinsparungen basieren auf der Endnutzung und beinhalten die folgenden
