Diese kohlenstoff\u00e4rmere Alternative zu maritimen Bunkertreibstoffen und anderen Dieselmischungen wird durch elektrochemische Prozesse nachhaltig erzeugt und weist im Vergleich zu herk\u00f6mmlichen Kohlenwasserstoffen geringere Lebenszyklusemissionen und einen niedrigeren Schwefelgehalt auf. Dementsprechend weckt E-Methanol das Interesse kohlenstoffintensiver Branchen wie Schifffahrt, Logistik und Fertigung.<\/p><p>In Erwartung dieser Marktnachfrage wird eines der weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dften E-Methanol-Projekte bald die Methanolsynthese von Clariant nutzen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clariant.com\/en\/Business-Units\/Catalysts\/Syngas-Catalysts\/Methanol\/MegaMax-800\">Katalysator<\/a>. Der Methanolsynthesekatalysator der n\u00e4chsten Generation namens MegaMax\u00ae ist in der Lage, Wasserstoff und eingefangenes CO zu kombinieren<sub>2<\/sub> in gr\u00fcnes Methanol. Damit k\u00f6nnte ein Containerschiff mit Methanol-Dual-Fuel-Motor etwa ein Jahr lang mit Energie versorgt werden.<\/p><p>Kundenvertr\u00e4ge wurden bereits abgeschlossen. Spielzeughersteller <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lego.com\/en-us\/aboutus\/news\/2023\/april\/european-energy-partners-with-novo-nordisk-and-the-lego-group?locale=en-us&amp;consent-modal=show&amp;age-gate=grown_up\">Lego<\/a> plant, fossile Rohstoffe bei der Kunststoffproduktion zu ersetzen, w\u00e4hrend das d\u00e4nische Pharmaunternehmen Novo Nordisk E-Methanol nutzen will, um umweltfreundlichere medizinische Ger\u00e4te wie Insulin-Pens herzustellen. Aber die Verwendung von CO<sub>2<\/sub> aus biogenen Emissionen und direkter Luftabscheidung, die den CO2-Fu\u00dfabdruck \u00fcber den gesamten Lebenszyklus f\u00fcr E-Methanol-Kunden reduziert, zieht die meiste Aufmerksamkeit auf sich.<\/p><p>Mit<sub>2<\/sub> wird im Wesentlichen als erneuerbare Quelle eingesetzt, die die doppelte Herausforderung der Dekarbonisierung und der Frage nach der Herstellung eines vielseitigen Kraftstoffs angeht. Die Effizienz wird durch das Hinzuf\u00fcgen weiterer aktiver Stellen im Katalysator, an denen chemische Reaktionen stattfinden, gesteigert, was zu h\u00f6heren E-Methanol-Ausbeuten bei h\u00f6herer Stabilit\u00e4t der Technologie, die es erzeugt, f\u00fchrt. Dies gew\u00e4hrleistet eine l\u00e4ngere Lebensdauer von MegaMax\u00ae und eine h\u00f6here Leistung seines Produkts. \u00a0<\/p><p>Stabilit\u00e4t und niedrigere Umwandlungseffizienz waren bei E-Methanol h\u00e4ufige Probleme. Ein weiteres Haupthindernis f\u00fcr seine breitere Einf\u00fchrung, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irena.org\/-\/media\/Files\/IRENA\/Agency\/Publication\/2021\/Jan\/IRENA_Innovation_Renewable_Methanol_2021.pdf?rev=ca7ec52e824041e8b20407ab2e6c7341\">nach<\/a> Laut der Internationalen Agentur f\u00fcr Erneuerbare Energien (IRENA) sind \u201edie h\u00f6heren Kosten im Vergleich zu Alternativen auf Basis fossiler Brennstoffe\u201c.<\/p><p>Clariant hat diese Herausforderungen schon fr\u00fch erkannt und gemeinsam mit European Energy an der Produktion von kohlenstoffneutralem Kraftstoff im gro\u00dfen Ma\u00dfstab f\u00fcr die industrielle Vermarktung gearbeitet.<\/p><p><strong>Anwendungen in Versand, Fertigung und mehr<\/strong><\/p><p>Durch die direkte Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Problemen ist MegaMax\u00ae in der Lage, die Produktion von E-Methanol aus CO<sub>2<\/sub> und Wasserstoff zu einem wirklich tragf\u00e4higen, nachhaltigen Prozess. Ziel ist es, den Kunden die M\u00f6glichkeit zu geben, ihre Produktion zu steigern und die Energiekosten zu senken, w\u00e4hrend gleichzeitig ihre Produktions- und Transportwege dekarbonisiert werden. Maersk hat beispielsweise versprochen, nur neue Schiffe zu bestellen, die kohlenstoffneutralen Kraftstoff verwenden. Sein erstes gro\u00dfes Schiff, die <em>Ane Maersk<\/em>, wird mit E-Methanol betrieben und kam im Mai in Dubai an.<\/p><p>\u201eDies ist ein wichtiger Meilenstein f\u00fcr Maersk auf unserem Weg zur Dekarbonisierung des Seetransports\u201c, sagte Christopher Cook, Managing Director von Maersk VAE, Oman und Katar, im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maersk.com\/news\/articles\/2024\/05\/08\/ane-maersk-makes-her-first-call-in-dubai-at-dp-world\">Pressemitteilung<\/a>. \u201e<em>Ane Maersk<\/em> repr\u00e4sentiert unsere Ambitionen in Bezug auf Nachhaltigkeit und Innovation.\u201c<\/p><p>Clariant verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber mehr als ein halbes Jahrhundert Erfahrung in der Entwicklung hochaktiver, selektiver Katalysatoren f\u00fcr\u00a0<strong>Methanol-Produktion<\/strong>. Ein zweites Werk soll im ersten Quartal des darauffolgenden Jahres er\u00f6ffnet werden. <strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>Die Auswirkungen gehen jedoch weit \u00fcber den europ\u00e4ischen Fu\u00dfabdruck der Anlage hinaus. Weltweit f\u00fchrende Industrieunternehmen wie Maersk, Lego und Novo Nordisk sind sich dessen bewusst. Dementsprechend positioniert sich Clariant als Verfechter einer kohlenstoffbewussteren Zukunft.
